Winning the Intel Arabian Cup is like winning the World Cup in League of Legends. This international tournament has teams participating from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Oman, Morocco, Tunisia, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Iraq, UAE, and Kuwait. You can understand the high stakes involved with so many countries sending the best teams to win the tournament. Egypt was one of the most underrated countries because of their consecutive poor performances, but not anymore. They are now the winners of the Intel Arabian Cup, thanks to Anubis Gaming.
Founded in 2015, Anubis Gaming is the best eSports organization in the Middle East right now. Despite their poor showing in major tournaments, it proved everyone wrong and became the first team in Egypt to win the prestigious Intel Arabian Cup. Mohamed Magdy Soliman, the captain of Anubis Gaming, played a vital role in helping his team win.
Magdy’s MVP performance
Magdy Soliman is now the most valuable player in the MENA region after leading his team to victory in the Intel Arabian Cup. He holds the record for winning the most number of tournaments in Egypt. The Egyptian government also honored and celebrated his winning of a regional championship organized by The Arab League. The Egyptian minister of youth and sports even made him one of the core members of the Egyptian national team.
Magdy participated with the national team in the IeSF world championship in Taiwan and secured the fourth position. It was inevitable that he would soon become the most valuable player in Egypt.
Magdy’s contribution to Anubis Gaming
Magdy is the think-tank of Anubis Gaming. He keeps the team working together like a well-oiled machine. Anubis Gaming wasn’t performing well in League of Legends tournaments. They didn’t manage to win domestic tournaments and failed miserably in international championships also. But Magdy was hell-bent on changing the fortune of Anubis Gaming.
Magdy is not just a crucial player but also the content creator and streamer of his team. And so, he would watch videos of their games multiple times to find where they were going wrong. He would discuss the issues with his teammates for hours. Soon, they came up with various strategies to avoid making mistakes and recognize what the opponent was trying to plan. They would accordingly attack or defend.
Magdy would set up demo tournaments where each teammate would act as different participants wanting to win a game desperately. It helped prepare everyone according to realistic situations that they would usually face in tournaments. They prepared for months before participating in the Intel Arabian Cup. It gave the team confidence to fight against the top teams from different countries.
Winning the tournament
Failing to win a tournament for three years was embarrassing for Magdy. He said, “We were getting so close to winning, but something was going wrong. However, what matters now is we have won one of the world’s biggest tournaments. Our hard work for months has finally paid off! We will work harder the next time to retain the championship.”
Magdy is already making strategies to win the next Intel Arabian Cup. It’s only a matter of time before Anubis Gaming gets their hands on another trophy.
