Books are about to get personal. WOLIO, a Bangalore-based startup reimagining how humans interact with written content, has raised 2.5M in angel funding to build its AI-powered book personalization platform.
Unlike traditional e-readers or content platforms, WOLIO doesn’t curate books — it transforms them. Every book on WOLIO is dynamically rewritten in real time using AI, adjusting language, tone, structure, and depth based on who the reader is and what they seek.
“We’re not in the business of selling books. We’re in the business of rewriting them — uniquely, for every mind,” said Akshay Manorama, founder of WOLIO.
The fresh capital will be used to:
Launch the MVP (web version)
Build AI pipelines that enable on-the-fly rewriting
Run live experiments with AI-persona-driven books
Grow the team across product, engineering, and design
WOLIO is being incubated with a clear emphasis on intellectual property, ethical AI architecture, and deeply immersive user journeys.
Slated for a closed beta later this year, WOLIO joins a new wave of startups where AI doesn’t just assist — it co-creates. For a generation raised on personalization, this may be how books finally catch up.
